Eagle’s Eye (Face Expression Detector)

Eagle’s eye a computer application which will tell the real time face expressions to users such as happy, sad, sleepy, neutral, etc. This program will be written in coding language Python3 with the help of OpenCV module. This software will take access of your webcam and detect your face expressions using Artificial Intelligence.

ABOUT APPLICATION

Our application is based on facial expression detection or analysis where the user gives the input face and we can detect the face expression as well as give them the output in text form.

Facial expression recognition is that the task of classifying and analyzing the expressions on face images into various categories like sad, angry face etc. and here we can’t conclude that there are only basic forms of expressions. Even the slight movement in the face leads to changes.

We plan to work on five expressions in this stage and the expressions are anger, sad, happy, neutral and sleepy.

WHERE WE USE THIS APPLICATION

Here we can see that the person body language is different from expression.

Our application (in advanced stages) is useful in many domains and some of it are it useful to verify that the person standing In front is not just a 2-dimensional representation.

This application is also useful in business promotions like most of the business will take people responses to their product into consideration. So it is useful to capture real time expression to decide whether the customer is satisfied with the product or not.

It can be also useful for the scientists who are working in the study of different states of the human brain (related to psychology).

LEGALITY AND ETHICS

There is no legal, privacy, moral and legal issues related with this project because we are not preceding this in online mode and there is no involvement with login credentials or personal information so there is no problem with the leakage with personal info.

And when we analyze a face, the data will be stored in the personal computer so we will not face the problem with privacy issues. As the process completed we will delete the previous data so there will be no issue.

In the future if we proceed in the advanced stages we may face problem with privacy issues .we will update and minimize the effect and provide the security to users.

FUTURE PLANS

Our future plan is to update or take it to further steps like updating the text form to emoji form and the facial expression is not particularly classified in basic forms (i.e., angry, happy etc.) there are many more and we trying to update it in future. We also want to increment the accuracy rate of the model.
